I had a similarly bad thing when I worked for a sleazeball in the defense industry. The guy was harassing me and blaming me for everything even stuff I had no idea existed, and even PHYSICALLY pushing me around. THEN the recruiting company called me one day and said not to go into work, that he had said they don't need me anymore. THEN they held my possessions for several weeks while my co-workers could rifle through the papers and steal some of my stuff. I finally got a box of some of my items back but not everything. Bstard. When consulting is great, it is fabulous. When you are in a position to be blamed, is SUHUCKS. And almost every consultant everywhere is in a position to be blamed. But it will take a lot of courage and you will have to face the herd around you who will tell you to get a job, repeatedly until you are sick of hearing it. I have been self-employed for the past 12 years and have never been at any job other than my own business. I encourage you to do self-employment.
