Logitech MM28 Portable Speakers – Quality Portable Audio
One of my clients had the need for a portable audio solution. The
speakers needed to be extremely portable, yet sound decent. It was also
important that the speakers be easy to set up.
Upon performing some research, I found the Logitech
mm28 Portable Speakers.
Portability
According to the product
specs it is only 1.24 inches thick, and can run for up to 45
hours on 4 AA batteries. It is all one piece. The integrated lid protects the speakers and also
serves as a stand when fully opened. Logitech also handily designed the
speakers so that the cord can be neatly stored in the back of the unit.
The product seems solidly built.
Sound Quality
The speakers sound very
good for their small size. They are able to accurately reproduce the
high and midrange. The speakers produce more bass than I would have
thought possible. I was, in fact, stunned by the amount of bass they
produced. Bass; however, is by no means abundant. A speaker this size
cannot compete with much larger speakers in the bass department. The speakers are a breeze
to set up and use. If on batteries there is only one connection that
needs to be made. Simply remove the cord from the storage area in the
back and plug it into your audio source. Press the button on the top of
the speakers to turn the unit on and you’re set.
Negatives
The main negative over
conventional portable speakers is the price. They retail for $59.99 and
Amazon has them:
has
them for $54.99.
I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who travels often.
This product would definitely be a good tool in the arsenal of someone
making presentations around the country. The speakers insure you will
be able to play multimedia content even if the venue does not have a
sound system. Pair the speakers up with a laptop and a multimedia
presentation. They sound good enough and are loud enough to fill a
small board room.
